Craig D. Buhr, age 69, a resident of Wheaton, IL, and formerly a longtime resident of Northlake, IL went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 7, 2022, at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois. He was born May 29, 1952 in Chicago to Kenneth and Gloria Buhr.

Craig grew up in Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago and graduated from West Leyden High School in Northlake. He served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He worked in the emergency room at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood as a technician.

He was a quiet man who enjoyed following Chicago sports and working on his computer.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Buhr, one sister, Deborah (Wallace) Mangum of Wheaton, his niece, Jennifer (John) Hartnett and nephew, Dan (Susan Light) McLain and great-niece and nephews, Ava, Timmy and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, and niece, Amanda McLain.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment and military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois at 12:30 p.m.
