IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Courtney
Croft
January 14, 1991 – March 25, 2024
Courtney Marie Croft, age 33, beloved daughter, sister-cousin, granddaughter, niece, aunt, friend, colleague, mentor, and leader left this world for her next adventure on March 25, 2024.
She was born on January 14, 1991 in Downers Grove, Illinois, to Rona Marmitt Croft and Bill Croft. Courtney lived with her parents in Wheaton, Illinois her entire life before attending Benedictine University and graduating cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts. She later returned to Benedictine to begin her career in marketing, communications, and graphic design.
As was her character in all things, Courtney fought to the end after suffering a stroke on March 15. Ultimately, Courtney's sacrifice will save the lives of dozens of people in need of critical tissues and blood transfusions.
Our Courtney-doll, Court Nort, and Auntie Corn was a bright light in every room, a lover of all plants, animals, and babies, an amazing artist, a diehard Cubs fan with the mouth of a sailor, wickedly intelligent and creative, and a passionate lover, fighter, and advocate for her chosen and given family. Her vibrant spirit and caregiving soul touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever live in our hearts.
Survived by her mother, Rona, and father, Bill, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and fur baby Smalls, she was adored by all. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Grandpa Ron and Grammie Sue, and paternal grandparents, Grandma Rie and Grandpa Bob, Uncle Scott, Uncle Doc, and fur babies Sopris, Kayla, Wrigley, Chloe, and Delilah, she will be greeted with arms wide open and lots of animal kisses. Courtney's final resting place on Earth will be with her paternal grandparents at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Services will be held on Monday, April 1 at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton from 10:00am-1:00pm with a time for sharing memories at 12:30pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at Cooper's Corner in Winfield from 2:00pm-6:00pm.
