Corinne Anne Olson Allen, aged 76 of Wheaton, Illinois, died peacefully, early in the morning of Tuesday, November 24, in her home surrounded by the love of her family. Born April 9, 1939, in Newark, Illinois, to Norma and Olaf Olson, Corinne graduated from Newark High School in 1957 and Wheaton College in 1961.

On August 22, 1961, Corinne married Gerald (Jerry) R. Allen of Wheaton. Together, they raised their four children – Jeffrey, Kristin, Scott, and Douglas. They remained best friends throughout Corinne's life, while teaching at Winfield Public School, where Corinne taught third grade for 9 years; working in Jerry's Northwestern Mutual office; traveling domestically and internationally; and playing games together.

Corinne was known for her dedication to St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Illinois, where she served as the church organist for 51 years. In life, as in death, Corinne walked with Jesus. She immersed herself in Scripture and prayed constantly. Even in the final days of her struggle with Alzheimer's, Corinne could remember how to play any hymn in the hymnal.

Corinne is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Jeff (Julie) Allen of Cumming, GA, Kristin (Scott) Friestad of Morris, IL, Scott (Christine) Allen and his wife Christine of Johns Creek, GA, and Doug (Ruthie) Allen of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren, Elisabeth Allen Adams, Sara Allen, Morganne Friestad, Mackenzie Friestad, Peter Allen, Hanna Allen, Mitchell Friestad, Madison Friestad, Marissa Friestad, Theodore Allen, Soren Allen, Ari Allen, and Oliver Allen; and four siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, located at 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. The service, followed by a luncheon, will be Saturday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church , located at 1233 Douglas Rd. in Montgomery. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Family and close friends are invited to the graveside at West Lisbon Lutheran Cemetery following the luncheon.
