Cora Anne Kirkwood, age 77, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at home. She was born February 14, 1941 in Chicago, IL.

Before marrying her husband Jim, Cora was a Grammar School teacher, which she loved. She stopped teaching when she got married and devoted her life to being an excellent homemaker. She lived in Wheaton with her husband for many years. Although they never had their own, they both loved and adored children.

Cora's Christian faith was an important part of her life. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her garden.

She is survived by her sister, Julie (Bill) Heitz of Glen Ellyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Kirkwood; her father, Paul Lester Bult; and her mother, Sadie "Honey" Bult.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn , where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
