Clifford H. Chase passed away peacefully on New Year's Day in Rockford, IL. An Illinois resident for most of his life, he was born June 15, 1934 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Linda Chase (Reher) of Rockford, Illinois, his six sons Paul Chase of Rockford, Mark Chase of Rocklin, California, Jeffrey Chase of Kingston Washington, Clifford Steven Chase of North Fort Meyers, Florida, David Chase of Dixon, Illinois and Douglas Chase of Aurora, Illinois. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other more distant relations.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Eugene, Robert and Richard Chase and his parents, Clifford and Mae Chase.

A veteran of the Army, Cliff had many talents that included skilled wood working, automotive maintenance and significant contributions to computing innovations (new at the time) to his long-time employer, Illinois Bell. He will be remembered for his boundless generosity of spirit and was a friend to all he encountered.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois.
