Clarence "Buz" Zimbelmann, age 68, a long time resident of Wheaton, died Thursday, November 6, at home. He was born June 19, 1940 in St. Louis, MO.

Buz grew up in the St. Louis area, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1958. Following high school he enlisted in the 82nd Airborne and served as a medic/paratrooper for three years. After his discharge he met and married Sharon Konrad. They moved from St. Louis to Wheaton, IL in 1965 and remained there the rest of his life. They were members of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton for many years where Buz was very active in PTL, the school board, youth group and the couples club. They transferred to Peace Lutheran Church in Lombard in th 80s. Buz worked in printing all of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon; his two children, Jim (Terry) of Oswego, IL, and Lauri (John) Joseph of Lake Worth, FL; five grandchildren, Jim, Kristi, and Kaylee Zimbelmann, and Danielle and Krista Joseph; his sister, Holly Auer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Zimbelmann; and his mother, Lorraine Kiernan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church, 21W500 Butterfield Road, in Lombard. Interment is private.
