Clara Moore, age 93, a longtime resident of Wheaton, more recently of Winfield, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.  She was born December 4, 1931 in Flag Pond, Tennessee to Hobert & Ester Rice.

Clara graduated from Northeastern Bible College in 1953 with a BA degree in Bible. For over 40 years Clara was a devoted member of the Wellspring Alliance Church in Wheaton, where she made a lasting impact as a Bible Study leader and active participant in women's ministries. She worked for Pioneer Clubs where she spent many years serving as a mentor and role model to young girls, guiding them with love and care on their own journeys of faith. In addition to her ministry work at Pioneer Clubs, Clara held a successful career as a realtor for 30 years. Clara had a passion for hospitality and entertaining guests. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed camping & travel.

She is survived by her sons Stephen & Daniel (Terri) Moore; her grandchildren Ellen (Nat) Fondell, Bryan Moore & Gary Moore; her great-grandchildren Everly, Oskar, Arlo & Iver Fondell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Merrill, who passed away in 1987.

A memorial service will be held at Wellspring Alliance Church, 1766 S. Blanchard St. , Wheaton, IL 60189, on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 3 PM. A private burial was held at  Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
