Obituary

Claire Louise DaRosa (nee Turner), beloved wife of Edmund "Tony" DaRosa, was received into the arms of God on July 21, at age 90 in Wheaton.

A dearly loved wife, mother and grandmother, Claire was born in Salt Lake City, UT, on September 21, 1921, to Ralph and Mildred Turner. She and Tony raised their three sons, Ronald (Susan), James (Jeanette), and Timothy (Bonita) in Lockport and then Carbondale.

Claire and Tony spent their early retirement years in Lake Mary, FL, and then returned to Illinois to live out their golden years at Wyndemere Senior Living Campus in Wheaton. On July 14, they celebrated 72 years of marriage.

Claire was preceded in death by her parents and baby daughter, Mary Louise. She is survived by her husband, three sons, sister Patty Corp, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Winfield from 10 to 11am on Friday, July 27, followed by a funeral Mass at 11am. A Christian burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at 1:30pm.
