Chester "Chet" Kochanek, age 78, beloved husband of Dolores (nee Habura-Osmanski) and the late Shirley (nee Donat); dear father of Joseph (Kymn), and Michael (Eve); proud grandfather of Alyeska, Colton, Ryan, and Colin; step-father of eight; step-grandfather of many; brother of Roman (the late Gerry), and the late Carol Smietana; and uncle of many. Chet was a retired court reporter in DuPage County for many years. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, from 3-9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Saturday, May 22, at 9:15 a.m. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m., St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 101 W. Loop Rd., in Wheaton, IL.
