Chester A. "Bob" Chase Jr., age 89, a resident of Winfield, Illinois, passed away at home on August 26, 2019. He was born September 4, 1929 in Maywood, Illinois to Chester Sr. and Joanne Chase.

Bob graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood, Illinois in 1947 and married Shirley in 1950. The family moved to Winfield, Illinois in 1960. Bob continued to work as a power lineman with Commonwealth Edison until he retired in 1984. He then kept busy by helping Gary and Val at the Winfield Flower Shop. He was active in the Winfield Community United Methodist Church serving in several capacities.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley; his sons, Gary (Valerie) and Bob (Jean) Chase; his five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his sister Betty (the late Gene) Howell.

Preceded in death by his brother Ralph (Maetta) Chase.

A private burial was held at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
