Cheryl A. Lint, age 68, a resident of Woodstock, formerly of Warrenville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2015. She was born July 27, 1947 in Chicago to Kenneth W. and Eleanor G. Lint.
Cheryl grew up in Chicago and went to Chicago Vocational High School, graduating from Homewood-Flossmoor High School. After attending Taylor University she received an Associates Degree from College of DuPage. Through the years she had a variety of jobs, including work at Pioneer Clubs/Camp Cherith. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and recently retired as a master tax preparer at H&R Block.
She was an avid fan of historical rail transportation and was a volunteer the Strahorn Library in Marango, IL and the IL Railway Museum in Union, IL. Her love of cats led her to volunteer for pet shelters and she adopted and cared for cats with special needs. She loved to travel and had traveled to Africa, Europe and across the United States, including Rt. 66 to California and returning on Lincoln Highway. She enjoyed photography and would take time to stop and enjoy the scenery, which often included trains. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her siblings, Linda (Michael) O'Donnell of Elburn and Craig (Susan) Lint of Rockford, nieces and nephews, Amy O'Donnell, Stacy (Chris) Manes, Cristine Lint, Robert (Harmony) Arnold, and Karen (Steve Lisle) Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, from 2 until 7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
