Charlotte Raymond, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, peacefully departed this world September 13, 2026 at the dignified age of 103. Born on October 13, 1922, in the city of Chicago. Charlotte was the cherished daughter of Walter and Mary Fryzel. She was the second youngest daughter in a family of eight children, all of whom she has now joined in eternal rest, including her dear brothers Stanley, Joseph, and Walter, and beloved sisters Loraine, June, Carol and Frances. A proud alumna of Fenger High, Charlotte cultivated a deep love for learning and knowledge, which she gracefully imparted to those around her. Her passion for reading was boundless, and she found immense joy in the simple pleasure of a good book. Charlotte also held a particular fondness for card games, never turning down the chance to engage in spirited games with friends and family. Her laughter and enthusiasm at the card table were infectious, leaving lasting memories for all who had the privilege to play alongside her. On March 23, 1946, Charlotte married the love of her life, Dan Raymond. Together, they crafted a beautiful life filled with love and devotion. Although Dan and her stepsons, Dan and David, predeceased her, Charlotte's legacy of love continues through her surviving children: her son Jim, and her daughters Bonnie and Carolyn. Her profound impact is further celebrated by her 15 treasured grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring family values she instilled. Charlotte's life was an example of resilience, wisdom, and unwavering love. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, reaching into her community where she was a steadfast supporter of local public libraries and schools, generously giving books to inspire future generations. Charlotte's remarkable journey through life touched countless hearts, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
