Charlotte D. Gaasrud, age 89, a resident of Libertyville, IL, and formerly of Park Ridge, IL and Palatine, IL, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Winchester House in Libertyville, IL. She was born December 29, 1923 in Chicago, IL.

Charlotte had worked as an executive assistant at Zenith. She also worked in the family business as an accountant. She was very active in Women's Ministries at Norwood Gospel Chapel in Chicago, IL and also at Arlington Countyside Church where she was a longtime member. Every year she looked forward to visiting Sanibel Island and New Smyrna Beach in Florida as well as the Conference Point Center in Williams Bay, WI.

She is survived by her three children, Brian (Linda) Gaasrud of Crystal Lake, IL, Linda (Jim) David of Wildwood, IL, and Brad (Debi) Gaasrud of Lake Geneva, WI; eight grandchildren, Kimberly (Kelly) Moore, Heather (Sean) Smith, Erin (Richard) Rowley, Nathaniel (Karrie) Theoharis, Nicholas (Erin) Theoharis, Noelle Theoharis, Rebecca Gaasrud and Amy Gaasrud; 11 great-grandchildren, Zack, Erik and Liam Moore, Nora and Finn Smith, Elyse and Nolan Theoharis, and Kendrick, Sawyer, Remington and Hadley Theoharis; several nephews; and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clifford Gaasrud; her sister, Grace Cone; her grandson, Eric Gaasrud; her son-in-law, Christos Theoharis, and her brother, Raymond Johnson.

A visitation will be on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 12:00 p.m. at Arlington Countryside Church, 916 E. Hintz, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, IL.
