Charlotte L. Burghardt, age 93, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died peacefully on March 27, 2022.  She was born July 15, 1928 in Bloomingdale, IL to Ferdinand and Violet Raap.

Charlotte, along with her husband Richard, owned three local businesses in Wheaton. Flowers by Richard, Hawthorne Paint Pail, and Hawthorne Paint Pail & Hardware.  Throughout her life Charlotte enjoyed home decorating, gardening and flower arranging. She loved hosting friends for parties, dinners or a game of cards. But her greatest joy was bringing together the family, both immediate and extended, for celebrations of all kinds with the Fourth of July being the most beloved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Burghardt in 2013 and her dear sister, Ruby Karner in 2018.

She is survived by her multi-generational family of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that will miss her terribly but will carry on her legacy and traditions in her honor.

The family will be celebrating her life privately.
