Charles M. Westberry, Jr., age 79, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born September 8, 1937 in Waycross, GA to Charles Sr, and Lois Westberry.

He served in the Navy during the late 1950's. On October 26, 1957 he married Patricia French at Eastside Baptist Church in Chicago. In 1968 they moved to Glen Ellyn, IL. He worked within the healthcare industry for many years. He was a member of the Wheaton Masonic Lodge. He has been a member of Village Green Baptist Church since 1968. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his three children, Susan "Kim" (Patrick) Nelms of Wheaton, Charles (Paula) Westberry III of Berwyn and Jason (Karin) Westberry of Wheaton; five grandchildren, Patrick, Jeffrey, Charles IV (Jasmine), Sean and Samuel; his great-granddaughter, Aryel; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Westberry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; and his brother, Ronald Westberry.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
