Charles H. Wegner, age 51, a resident of Warrenville, IL, died suddenly at home on February 3, 2014. He was born March 17, 1962 in St. Charles to Heinz and Marie Wegner.

Chuck grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton Christian Grammar School and Wheaton Academy. He married Mary Boyd on August 7, 1982.

He was always willing to help neighbors and friends. He loved bowling, Doctor Who, gardening, and woodworking. Family was the most important part of his life. He loved spending summers in Wisconsin, boating, fishing and waterskiing.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Wegner, four children, Charles A. Wegner of Arlington Heights, Maranda S. Wegner of Warrenville, Melissa A. Wegner of Warrenville and Joseph W. Wegner of Warrenville, two grandchildren, Alana and Andrew. He is also survived by two sisters, Alice Berndt and Christine Wegner, his aunt, Janet (the late Charles) Strobeck, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Susan H. Wegner.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
