Charles A. Kollenberg, age 76, a resident of Wheaton and also of New Port Richey, FL, died Friday, March 11, at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. He was born October 21, 1928 in Chicago.
Mr. Kollenberg enjoyed travelling all over the world. His career as an Executive Salesman in the Health Food industry also allowed him to travel. For a time he enjoyed a number of residences both locally and in Florida where he wintered.
He is survived by his three children, Karen Davis of Wheaton, Kevin of Aurora, and Keith (Nancy) of Elk Grove Village; six grandchildren, Brittney and Jason, Tamara and Brenton, and Christopher and Kelly; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; two brothers, Jimmy (Jodi), and Bruce (Fern) Krarup; and his girlfriend, Mary Anderson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, from 3-9 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, where a service will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
