Obituary

Charles J. "Chuck" Huck, Jr., age 72, a longtime resident of Warrenville, died Saturday, January 3, at home. He was born July 19, 1936 in Chicago, IL.

Chuck served in the military intelligence division of the Army in Korea after the Korean War. He was a magazine editor in industrial trades for more than 30 years. He is the founding member of the Chicago Laurel and Hardy Sons of the Desert "tent" called "Bacon Grabbers". He was a professional photographer and a freehand artist. He loved ragtime and bluegrass music and was a frustrated Bears fan. He enjoyed bird-watching too.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy, nee Hall; two sons, Jonathan, and Jeffrey, both of Los Angeles, CA; his sister, Barbara (William) Ryan of Manhattan, IL; his sister-in-law, Judy (Al) Bromann; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Loretta Huck.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 11:00 A.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment is private.
