Charles T. (Charlie) Hughes, 78, a resident of West Chicago, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born in Wyandotte, MI to Francis and Carolyn Kortick Hughes. He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and was a proud graduate of Salesianum High School, the University of Delaware and he received a masters degree in chemistry from the University of Minnesota. He spent his entire career working for the DuPont Company in various positions.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ro Hughes (née Buckley) of West Chicago; cherished daughters Moira (Eric) Muller and Gwyneth (Bill) Favenesi; six "wonderful" grandchildren, Madeleine, Eric and Grace Muller; and Nicholas, Isabella and Gabriella Favenesi; and his two sisters, Betsy (the late Tom) Black and Christine (Mark) Cooper.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 101 West Loop Road, Wheaton, IL 60189. Those not able to attend the service may watch the livestream by following this link: Charlie T. Hughes Funeral Mass
