Cathy E. Schmidt, age 49, a resident of West Chicago, IL and formerly of Wheaton, IL, was called to her heavenly home Wednesday, February 17, 2010 surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 10, 1960 in Rockford, IL to Clifford and Freda Kinkade.

Cathy worked for Central DuPage Orthodontics for many years. She was a member of College Church in Wheaton where she served as an adult leader with the High School youth group and mentored many students who loved and adored her. Cathy was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a huge water sports enthusiast and enjoyed spending time on Wonder Lake with her family. She was an energetic person with a wonderful sense of humor and was passionate about her children and the gospel.

She leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Greg; her two children, Wesley and Hope; her sisters, Karolyn (Daniel) Kentner, and Connie (Louis) Tisovec; many extended family and very dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at College Church in Wheaton, Washington and Seminary Aves. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Wheaton Cemetery.
