Obituary
Catherine G. Urich, age 93, a resident of Wheaton since 1932, died Saturday, September 23 at The New Adams House in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born July 16, 1913 in Hanover, PA. to the Rev. Bruce C. Whitmore and Margie Lantz Whitmore.
She was a homemaker, enjoying gardening, volunteer work and friends and neighbors. She was a member of St John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Elaine (Joe) Patton of Bella Vista, AR; one granddaughter, Robin Lineback (Dr. Peter) MacKay; and one great-grandson, Patrick Ian MacKay, both of Hong Kong, China; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Philip J. Urich; her sisters, Miriam Scheppele and Dorothy Wright; and brother Albert Whitmore.
A visitation will beheld on Saturday, September 30, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a service at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, corner of Main and Seminary, in Wheaton. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187; or to the Alzheimers' Association, 225 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60601.
