Catherine Meyer's Obituary
Catherine Meyer, age 102, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at home. She was born November 15, 1907 in Elgin, IL.
Catherine was the church organist at St. Mary Catholic Church in Elgin, IL for 20 years.
She is survived by her niece, Joann (James) Knaak; her godchild, Mary Jane Plazewski; and dear friends, Joseph C. Owens, and Alena Boksa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Meyer.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 421 Cochise Court, in Carol Stream, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Elgin, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60607.
