Catherine I. "Kay" MacDonald, age 89, a resident of Oswego, IL, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Autumn Leaves in Oswego, IL. She was born September 5, 1925 in Detroit, MI.
Kay was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, IL, where she led the blood drive for Heartland Blood Center for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Richard "Rick" (Becky) MacDonald, Shawn (Pam) MacDonald, and Kevin (Margaret) MacDonald; eight grandchildren, Justin, Brent, Leah, Niccole, David, Matthew, Kattheryne and Tegan; and five great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Braylee, Ayden, Clayton and Nathaniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard "Dick" MacDonald.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery, in Wheaton, IL.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association , 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
