Casimer "Casey" Hendzel, of Romeoville, born in Chehly, Poland, 88 years ago passed away on May 29, 2017. Dear husband of his loving wife Mary E Hendzel (Mosior); fond father of Stanley(Heather/Pamela), late Casimer, Adam (Antoinette), Mark, Mary Stergiadis (Christos), Thomas (Marguerite); grandfather of Jessica,  Eric, Alexandra, Christina Mak (David), Thomas C., Victoria, Kyle, Conor and Alexander Stergiadis; great-grandfather of Mayzie Christenson: brother of the late Maria Baran (late Joesph Baran), Sophie Switala (late Chester Switala), Joseph J. (Bonnie) Hendzel and Emily Wrona (Walter); loving son of the late Emily, nee  Ziomek, and Joseph Hendzel; Uncle of many nieces and nephews. He displaced his family of four in 1960 by moving to Chicago with two suitcases from Poland seeking a better life. He developed many talents and skills that he attained through life lessons with the attitude of never fear failure. He retired from GM, ElectroMotive Division in McCook after 29 years of service, and was a part owner of John's Deli in Chicago, and later the owner of Kuba's Sausage in Cicero. A man of strong faith, he became one of Jehovah Witnesses, which lead him to daily bible readings and group readings. He finally passed from an aggressive form of cancer which spread from his bile-duct at the age of 88, but he was loved by all. His life motto was "you gotta keep moving", and now he can rest in peace.
