Carolyn J. Wolfe, age 65, a resident of Winfield, IL, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at home. She was born August 14, 1949 in Frankfort, IN.
Carolyn was born in the small town of Frankfort IN where she resided until the age of 18 when she went off to attend Indiana University and achieve a Bachelor degree in Children's Education. While she attended Ball State University Carolyn became involved with the Alpha organization as secretary. Soon after her BA graduation Carolyn moved up north to IL, where she obtained her first job teaching, met and married the love of her life, Roger, and became the mother to many she always wanted to be. Carolyn's flourished as an elementary school teacher in Streamwood, IL teaching there for years which resulted in the desire and accomplishing the Aurora University Early Education Master Degree program degree. Throughout her life Carolyn was a faithful and loyal Christian servant. She was well rooted in the Christian faith and never missed a chance to witness and share the wonderful Gospel. In addition, Carolyn wore many hats some including: wife, mother, grandmother, foster mom, teacher, sailor, artist, equestrian, dog breeder and trainer, porcelain doll maker, seamstress, chef, girl scout leader, children ministry assistant, Neighborhood bible club leader, confidant and FRIEND. Carolyn was full of life and never sat still, her uplifting energy will truly be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Roger; seven daughters, Alisa Harris of Winfield, Kiara Wolfe of Winfield, Britney Moroziuk of Texas, Bianca Moroziuk of Texas, Gerika Altizer of Chicago, Jada Altizer of Chicago, and Ebony McGee of Chicago; one granddaughter, Valerie Harris; one grandson, Kingston Dale; her mother, Martha Faust; two brothers, Joe (Carol) Faust and Robert Faust; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Faust.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at
Hultgren Funeral Home
, 304 N. Main St, in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at
Wheaton Bible Church
, 27W500 North Ave, in West Chicago. Interment will be private at Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Columbia City, IN.
