Carolyn R Reppe, 74, of Winfield, IL passed away March 25, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn (George) was born April 24, 1951 to Paul and Ruth (Heilner) George in Sterling, IL.

Carolyn graduated from Sterling High School in 1969. She was a loving homemaker until 1990 and then worked for Dr. Herrmann as a receptionist for 27 years until her retirement in 2019. She also worked at Kohl’s department store part-time for many years as well.

Carolyn was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wheaton and lived in her faith until the end. Carolyn enjoyed bowling, gardening, and baking. She was a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed going to her favorite bar Little Red Schoolhouse to watch a game and have a few beers. She liked to travel to see her family, the UP of Michigan to visit her friend Mary as well as Wisconsin to her friend Nancy’s cabin.

Survivors include her son Brian (Sonia) Reppe of Stickney; her daughter Krista Reppe (Dave Lauer) of Winfield; her grandchildren Lindsey Reppe of Chicago, and Kevin Heinze of Winfield; three brothers Alan George of Prophetstown David (Jill) George of Port Byron and Mark George of Milledgeville; one sister Susan Kuehl of Morrison; two sister-in-laws Linda Baker of Sterling and Pam Reppe of Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Marcia Rodekamp, her son Kevin Reppe; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton Saturday April 18, 2026 from 1 pm-5pm. Memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wheaton Sunday April 19, 2026 at 2 pm. Burial will be immediately following at Mt Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
