Carolyn M. Lux, age 90, a resident of Belmont Village in Carol Stream, IL, formerly of Joliet, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.  She was born January 27, 1933 in Joliet to William & Florence Meyer.

Carol graduated from Joliet Township High School and attended the University of Illinois-Champaign, prior to joining John B. Lux of Joliet in marriage.  Over their 63 years together, Carol and John grew their family and relocated a number of times to follow John's career in newspaper publishing. Carol's lifelong interests centered around her family, as well as golf, travel, her cats and shopping.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John, and is survived by her three children: Tom (Anna) Lux of Glendale Heights, IL, Debbie (Mike) Rickman of Payson, AZ, and Karen (Joe) McNamara of East Amherst, NY; four grandchildren: Christine (Conner) Cox, Kathryn Lux, Joseph and Katelyn McNamara; two great-grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Cox and her brother Bob (Karen) Meyer of Naples, FL.

A chapel service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park-Joliet, IL. on Monday, August 21 at 12:30 p.m.
