Carol Jean Jones, age 88, born April 27, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Johnson Medical Center at Windsor Park in Carol Stream.

Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Bryan College and Swedish Covenant Nursing. She was a longtime employee of Hines Hospital and DuPage Convalescent Center. She lived a life of service to others in love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a longtime member of College Church in Wheaton.

Carol Jean is preceded in death by her husband Willis and her son Timothy- also by her father and mother, Leo and Berniece Russell of Wheaton.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann (Sverre) Dehli of Rygge, Norway and brother, Ronald (Shirley) Russell formerly of Wheaton; her grandchildren whom she dearly loved, John Michael, Maria, Jenny and Ingrid; a new great granddaughter, Liva; and cherished nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held at Windsor Park , 124 Windsor Park Dr., Carol Stream, IL on Sunday, September 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

Interment will be privately held at Chapel Hill Gardens West, in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mission Eurasia , formerly Slavic Gospel Mission or Windsor Park Benevolent Fund .
