Carol L. Harczak, nee Schleitwiler, age 67, of St. Charles, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was born on April 28, 1947 to Leonard and Eleanor Schleitwiler in Chicago.
Her family moved from Chicago to Lyons, IL where she and her sister Mary grew up and attended school. Carol loved dancing, live theater, traveling and snow skiing. After leaving the work force, she became active in
Bible Study Fellowship
(BSF) in Naperville and then St. Charles. For many years she was privileged to work with the young children of mothers who participated in BSF. Her heart was drawn to women's ministry during the last two decades and was truly blessed by the special and sweet relationships that blossomed with many ladies she calls sisters in Christ. During the last four years of life threatening illnesses, her love for our Lord strengthened as her faith was built on a ROCK solid foundation. She was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel - Elgin.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Harczak; her step-children, Nicki (Dave) Scheck, nee Harczak; her step-grandchildren, Austin and Benjamin Scheck; her sister, Mary (Richard) Kuntz, nee Schleitwiler; her nephews, Logan (April), Tyler, Kevin and Ryan; and her brother-in-law, Doug (Janet) Harczak.
