Obituary

Carlton A. Ericksen, 98, of Carol Stream died Monday, April, 2, 2020 at his home in Belmont Village Geneva Road.

He was born Carlton Arthur Ericksen on February 18, 1922, Green Bay, WI, son of Carl Gerhardt Ericksen and Mabel Sophia Gottschalk, and grew up on a dairy farm in Ashwaubenon, WI. He married Miriam L. Ericksen on August 5, 1949 in Baldwin, WI.

He attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout, earning his Masters of Science in Education. He served in the United States Marine Corps (1942-1946) as a Second Lieutenant in the Pacific. He served in human resources roles with Parke, Davis & Co., Outboard Marine Corporation, and the Milwaukee Area Technical College (1961-1984). He was a member of Gideons International and Brookfield Christian Reformed Church, and longtime resident of Milwaukee. He was also a Green Bay Packer season-ticket holder for many years.

Survived by: one son, Paul (Phyllis) of Wheaton, IL; three grandsons, Stephen (Keresa) Ericksen, Michael (Jane) Messah-Ericksen, and Joshua (Meghan) Ericksen; 8 great grandchildren, Taft, Wells, Birk, Drew, Finnigan, Charlotte, Jack, and Amelia; and his sister-in-law, Delores TeBeest.

Preceded in death by his loving wife Miriam; his sister, Helen G. Lippold; and son, John Carlton Ericksen.

A memorial service will be held on a later date. A private burial will be held at the Baldwin Cemetery in Baldwin, WI.
