Obituary

Carl R. Spacone, a resident of Winfield, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the age of 66. He was born on October 26, 1956, in Evanston, Illinois, to his parents, Aladino and Jeanne Spacone. The 5th of seven children.

Carl's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to education and faith. He began his educational path at St. Raymond's School and then graduated from Prospect Heights High School, In the class of 1974.

Driven by his thirst for knowledge and a desire to explore the world, Carl continued his education at Louisiana State University. He dedicated himself to his studies and, on August 19, 1989, proudly graduated with a bachelor's degree in arts. His time at LSU was formative, shaping his perspective on life and his unwavering pursuit of excellence.

A pivotal moment in Carl's life came when he attended New Covenant Church in Denham Springs. There, he forged many lifelong friendships and deepened his faith. He felt a profound calling to the mission field, and in 1993, he embarked on a life-changing journey to Moscow, where he met Sandra, his future wife. Their love blossomed, and they were joined in marriage on December 10, 1994.

After returning to the United States, Carl pursued a career as a Site Location Analyst in the real estate field. His dedication to his work mirrored his commitment to everything he set his mind to.

Carl was a man of faith, and his love for God guided him throughout his life. His unwavering belief and strength of character inspired those who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on his community.

Carl is survived by his wife Sandra of 26 years, his son Andrew, and his three siblings, Angela, Jeanette, and Dean, along with extended family.

A memorial service to celebrate Carl's life of faith and courage will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church of DuPage. Friends and well-wishers are invited to visit with the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. as they come together to remember a man whose faith, love, and determination touched the lives of many.
