C.A. Anderson (Art Anderson) passed away on February 21, 2010 at Wynscape Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Wheaton.
Mr. Anderson was the president of Baker Reproduction Company in Chicago where he worked until he and his partner, Elmer Osberg sold the company in 1976. He and his wife, Birdie, had been members of the Salvation Army, First Baptist of Glen Ellyn, Trinity Bible Church in Phoenix, and First Baptist of Wheaton during their lifetimes. In each church Art was deeply involved in their ministries as a band member, a song leader, a deacon, and a trustee, among many other capacities.
He is survived by his five children, Jerry a resident of Beverly Farm in Godfrey, IL, Judy (Dwight) Smith of Coupeville, WA, Dr. Keith (Wendy) of Bainbridge Is., WA, Karla (Dr. Bruce) Chouinard of Kent, OH, Sheryl of St. Paul, MN; Grandpa to nine grandchildren and to eleven great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Liljedahl Anderson(Birdie), and two brothers, Wendell and Vernon.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery of Glen Ellyn. He will be honored and celebrated by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at a family-only memorial service.
Any memorials can be directed to the Beverly Farm Foundation(an intermediate care facility for developmentally disabled adults)
