Bryce Allen Johnson, age 4, a resident of Aurora, died Saturday, October 7, at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He was born on April 20, 2002 in Aurora to Anthony Johnson and Tina Ferris.

Bryce has courageously battled a brain tumor since February of 2005. He was an inspiration to everyone he met and an encouragement to the families he met through his treatment. Bryce was always concerned with everyone else before himself. In Bryce's short time on earth, he changed the lives of many people.

He is survived by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Vicki Nagy of Plano, Tom Ferris of Arkansas, Tom Nagy of Plano and Rita Ferris of Arkansas, his paternal grandparents, Linda and Scott Johnson of Aurora, paternal great-grandparents, Geraldine Wilde of Wheaton and William and Mari Johnson of Wisconsin, step brothers, Brendon McDonald and Kyle Ferris and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Main and Seminary St. in Wheaton, friends may visit with the family from 9 until 11 a.m. Visitation will also be held on Monday, October 9 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held in Aurora.
