Bruce Allan Peterson, age 54, a resident of Wheaton, died after a long illness on Wednesday, April 2 at the Central Du Page Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1954 in Chicago to Lauritz and Annette Peterson.

Bruce enjoyed many sports especially with his regular golf group. He was known for his huge summer barbecues with his many friends. Bruce attended many of his son's baseball games through the years.

He was proud to be the father of Bruce Aaron Peterson, two brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Peterson of Glen Ellyn and Dennis (Denise) Peterson of Wheaton, nieces, Laura and Claire Peterson, nephew, Matthew Peterson, his stepmother, Theresa Peterson, his good friend, Dale Cress and dog Rocco.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 18 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton.

Private interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Bruce Allan Peterson Memorial Fund, c/o 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187 to be used for the education of his son.
