Geddes
May 21, 1981 – February 4, 2017
Brian Geddes, age 35, passed away unexpectedly from complications of a blood clot on February 4, 2017 while surrounded by his family. He was born in Wheaton, IL on May 21, 1981 to Marsha and David Geddes. Brian lived most of his life in Wheaton and graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1999. He then went on to earn a B.A. in History at Western Illinois University. Brian was a writer, storyteller, and historian. He had recently been a professional driver, and he enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures driving a school bus. Brian's interests and passions were many and varied. He loved his dog, Daisy, music (except for Coldplay), the Chicago White Sox, science fiction, good beer, great conversations and debates. He maintained several blogs that reflected his various interests and his vast wealth of knowledge. He was also working to finish writing and publish a series of science fiction novels.
Brian had a big heart, and he cared deeply about his family and friends. Brian is survived by his parents, his grandmother, Harriet Eklund, his sister Suzy Geddes, her husband Adam Thomas, his niece Charlotte Thomas, and of course, his beloved dog, Daisy.
