Brian R. Black died on Friday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 67. Brian lost his battle with cancer after a 2 and a half years fight. Brian was the eldest son of Robert J. and Nancy (Bock) Black, born in Highland Park, IL, spending his formative years in Park Ridge, IL.

Brian was involved with the Boy Scouts of America from third grade and into his 40's. He was an Eagle Scout and spent many summers as a camp counselor in Spooner, WI where he met lifelong friends. Brian spent 30 years in the Banking Industry and after retirement he enjoyed 11 years as a school bus driver for First Student in Naperville.

Although only living 3 blocks from each other, Brian met his wife Jan (Simpson) at Maine South High School. They dated and eventually went on to marry others. They reconnected at their 30th high school reunion and married in 2007.

Brian is survived by his mother Nancy (Bock) Black, his wife Jan, son Eric (Michelle) Black, daughter Stacy (Dillon) Wallin, grandsons Brandon and Logan Wallin, sister Janet (Tevin) Thompson, brother Tom (Debra) Black, four nephews and many friends.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Robert J. Black.

A Memorial visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton , IL 60189 on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.
