IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brett
Keske
September 3, 1964 – June 28, 2023
Brett Keske, age 58, a resident of Wheaton, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023. He was born on September 3, 1964 in Waukegan, Illinois to Richard and Marsha Keske.
He is survived by his wife Amy (Wetteroth) of 27 years; his children Spencer, Jackson & Carter; his mother Marsha Keske; his siblings Scott (Pam) Keske, Dawn (Gary) Grant & Beth (Jason) Klawonn; his uncle Larry (Sharon) Keske; cousins Ryan, Patrick and Shane Cook and Mike, Matt and Mark Keske; and nieces and nephews Allyse Roberts, Brandon Grant, Casey Klawonn, Shannon Grant, Cailin Becker, Alex Keske, and Aleah Keske. He was preceded in death by his father Richard and his Aunt Marlyn Cook (and best friend, Scout).
Brett grew up in Waukegan and was fortunate to have many extended family members living close by who were involved in his life. He played baseball, football, swam, and participated in youth group. Every summer he attended Camp Zion Church Camp in Door Co. and also loved camping with his family. After graduating from Wheaton College, Brett worked for Gary-Wheaton Bank where he met his wife, Amy. He went on to earn his MBA from the University of Chicago. He spent most of his career in Banking & Foreign exchange before going on disability. He attended Ginger Creek Community Church for over 25 years where he formed many relationships and served in various capacities.
Brett appreciated all sports but his favorite was watching his sons play soccer, baseball, football and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Bears and Cubs. He passed his love of golf and his sense of humor onto his sons who he was extremely proud of. Brett loved movies, working out, Bruce Springsteen, riding bikes, hitting the driving range, and he considered vanilla ice cream to be the 5th basic food group.
While Brett struggled with numerous physical and emotional health issues here on Earth, we find hope and comfort in knowing that our God is a God of restoration and healing and that nothing can ever pluck us from His hand.
