Brett M. Barstatis, 48, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 28, 2011. His death was unexpected and the result of complications from diabetes.
Brett was born May 5, 1963 the son of Robert and Linda Barstatis. He grew up in Wheaton and graduated Wheaton North High School in 1981. He was a 20-year employee of Joe Cotton Ford in Carol Stream.

Brett's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a superb cook and prepared great meals for his family and friends. He was gifted mechanically and never hesitated to help his large family with their car problems.

He is survived by his loving wife Sarah (Hein); his daughters Brittnee, Bryn, and Nicole; his son Nick; his parents Robert and Linda; his brothers and sisters Lindsay (Tunk), Jarrod, Shahni, Lisha (Denius), Noah, Charles, Kenny, Lizzy, Precious, and Nellie.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his brothers Moses, and Gemari, and sister Chante.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 1 until 4 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m.
