Brandon M. Gettinger, age 43, a resident of Lombard, IL, died on Thursday, July 8, 2021.  He was born March 20, 1978 in Winfield, IL to Robert and Barbara Gettinger.

Brandon grew up in Wheaton and attended St. John Lutheran School. He graduated from Glenbard South High School in 1996. Upon graduation he attended the College of DuPage for some time before moving to Pennsylvania to live with his mother. While there he finished his college receiving a B.S. in business from the University of Phoenix. Brandon took a job for MetLife and moved back to Illinois to be closer to his father and siblings where he remained until his passing.

Brandon enjoyed drawing, writing, and his comic books. He loved going to the movies with his friends, sharing a drink, and playing video games with his close friends. At times he would host as many people as his house would hold just to bring everyone a little closer for birthdays or holidays. He loved his pets dearly from his first dog growing up into his adult life when we took on a rescue and a few others. Brandon also became a gun enthusiast and would spend time at the range with his cousins and friends.

He is survived by his father, Robert Gettinger of Lombard, along his siblings Ryan Gettinger of Elgin, Eric Gettinger of Schaumburg, and Sara Gettinger of Mount Prospect.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
