Obituary

With her husband of 49 years by her side, holding her hand, Bonnie L. Bushnell was succumbed to the effects of Dementia / Alzheimers and died on September 4th, 2026.

Bonnie was a Cubs fan to her very core. She was beyond thrilled to be selected to throw out the first pitch of a 1994 Cubs Game. Bonnie always had a smile on her face and looked for the goodness in everyone. She was bright, active, selfless, well loved, and if you needed it, would give you the shirt off her back. She had an incredible work ethic, enjoyed needlepoint, liked to tend to her flower gardens, and loved to spend time with family and friends. On most Wednesdays and Sundays, you could find her and her husband on their boat.

Bonnie grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and graduated from Wheaton Central High School. In 2021 she retired as a court service specialist from DuPage County. Bonnie is survived by her husband, John, son John Jr., daughter, Cari; two grandchildren; three sisters and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling (Buster) and Bessie Klingberg of Wheaton, Illinois.
