William "Bill" Williams, 76, a resident of St. Charles and formerly of Wheaton, died Thursday, July 29 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. He was born on January 19, 1934 in Sylvan Beach, New York
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid horse racing fan and enjoyed fishing and tinkering. His children and grandchildren always came first. People always enjoyed his stories and sense of humor.
He is survived by 5 children, Richard (Marlene) Williams of St. Charles, Michael Williams of St. Charles, IL, William, Jr. (Christina) Williams of Warrenville, Kimberly Williams of Sycamore, IL, and Bobby (Kimberly) Williams of Aurora, IL; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Leonard Williams and Art Williams, and one sister EllaMay (Al) Bach.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae and three siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 3 at 7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton where friends may visit with the family from from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
