Beulah E. Reid, nee Rahm, age 89, a longtime resident of Brookfield and LaGrange Park and recently of Lombard, died on Sunday, May 10, 2009. She was born on May 3, 1920 in Joliet.
On October 3, 1940 she married William Reid in Joliet. She was an active member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in LaGrange Park, where she served on the Altar Guild and in quilt making. Recently she had been a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Lombard. She enjoyed travel, quilt making, reading, crossword puzzles, sports and especially spending time with family and friends.
Beulah is survived by three children, Roger W. Reid of Myrtle Beach, SC, Phyllis A. (Steve) Ade of Wheaton, and Paul R. (Susan) Reid of Louisville, KY, three grandchildren, William R. (Lynn) Reid, Michael R. (Mei) Ade and Kristen K. Ade, one great-grandson, Samuel Ade, and two sisters, Florence Goggin of Arlington Heights, and Lois VanSeveren of Moline, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1983, and her sister Helen DiMarco.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 19 at 7 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, 21W500 Butterfield Rd. in Lombard with Rev. Marty Hufford officiating.
