Betty A. Jaeger, age 98, a resident of Wheaton, IL and formerly of Glen Ellyn, IL, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, IL. She was born August 25, 1912 in Chicago, IL.
Betty was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed baking, sewing and crafts. Before moving to Glen Ellyn, she and her husband lived in Wisconsin. She was known for being "happy-go-lucky" and she very much enjoyed doing things for everyone. She loved her family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Judy (Al) Mellott of Wheaton, IL, Pat (Larry) Kee of Winfield, IL, and Sue Jaeger of California; four grandchildren, Kim (Mark), Randy (Gina), Scott (Cristina), and Kelly (Mike); ten great-grandchildren, Shelby, Andrew, Lexi, Samantha, Parker, Sydney, Amanda, Carissa, Jordan and Molly; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jim; two sisters, one brother; and her childhood friend of 90 years, Emily.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private at Bohemian National Cemetery in Cadott, WI.
