Betty Geiger Graves, age 71, a resident of Aurora and recently of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, peacefully at home. She was born August 18, 1946 in Pennsylvania.

She grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls. She went on to graduate from Frederick College in Virginia, majoring in vocal performance. Betty worked for a number of years as a teaching assistant in the Doraville, Georgia public schools. Betty retired after 20 years as a bookkeeper at Ball Seed Company in West Chicago.

She enjoyed music and sang in the Naperville Chorus. She loved to read and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Scott (Crystal) Graves of Williamsburg, Virginia and Michael (Beth) Graves of Wheaton, three grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas and Alice Graves, her mother, Selena Geiger and one brother, Eric (Ellen) Geiger. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Geiger.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., Wheaton, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
