Bernard W. "Bernie" Gallimore, age 71, a resident of Hot Springs Village, AR, died Saturday, July 15, under Arkansas Hospice care at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. He was born October 27, 1934 in Mazeppa, MN.
Bernie worked with the DuPage County Sheriff's office for 29 years as a Deputy Sheriff until he retired in 1989. He loved to golf and fish. He also enjoyed being a HAM radio operator.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie; his three children, Deborah Little of Carol Stream, Aaron (Sandy) Gallimore of West Chicago, and Wanda Gallimore of Naperville; ten grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, and Joseph Little, Lynne Ayling, Carrie, Erin, Adam, and Megan Gallimore, and Scott Volpi and Michele Essig; two great-granddaughters, Katelyn and Cassandra Ayling; three brothers, Garnet (Corrine), Howard (Janice), and Wesley (Harriet) Gallimore; many nieces and nephews; and seven brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Sue; his parents, Wilbur and Florence Gallimore; his brother-in-law, Don Redgate; and his sister-in-law, Carolyn Baum.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, where a service will be held on Thursday, July 20, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake.
