Bernard Louis Ebrom, age 64, a resident of Northlake, IL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at home. He was born August 20, 1958 in Chicago to Louis W. and Mary Catherine Ebrom.

Bernie grew up in Chicago and graduated from Forman High School. He went on to graduate from Ventura College, Florida Atlantic University & US Military University La Verne.

He earned a Master's Degree in, Professional Aeronautics & Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle University.   He served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy as a Helicopter Search and Rescue Aircrewman, Crew Chief. He also was a Water Survival Instructor & Deep-sea diver.  Later he was a Helicopter, Lead Maintenance Tech.

He enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading and nature.

He is survived by his father, Louis W. Ebrom, his son, Bradley Ebrom, his siblings, Marylou (Fred) Pochowicz, Lois (Tom) Ganich and Brian Ebrom, his nieces and nephews, Michael (Cindy), Marykay (Jacob), Jeffrey (Scott), Jennifer, Patrick and Natalie, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Ebrom, and his sister Bernadette Zeigler.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. at St. Isidore Church, Gary Ave. and Army Trail Rd., Bloomingdale, IL.  Interment and military honors will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
