Obituary

Benjamin Hossu, age 85, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died at Wynscape Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

Benjamin was born on July 8th, 1931 in Oarta de Sus, Maramures, Romania to Ioan and Ludovica Hossu. He was married for almost 60 years to his beloved wife Emilia, who preceded him into God's glory.

Benjamin was a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ. He and Emilia were members of the Romanian Baptist Church in Des Plaines, IL, where they worshiped the Lord.

Seeking Divine comfort for their great loss of a beloved father, grandfather, brother in law, are: his sons Daniel (Rodica) Longyne, Valentin (Corina) Hossu, his grandchildren: Ruthie, Jessica, Christopher, Cindy and Philip, his great granddaughters Ella and Madison Emilia, his brothers in law John (Marilena) Foia, Victor (Diane) Foia, his nieces and nephews Adriana and Diana, Justin and Timothy, Minerva and Zenovia and so many more in a family that stretches across the world.

The family is grateful to the medical staff at CDH and Wynscape who demonstrated exceptional care for Benjamin in his last days.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL.

The funeral service will follow immediately at 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at the Wheaton Cemetery, 1209 Warrenville Road, Wheaton, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Romanian Missionary Society, PO Box 527, Wheaton IL 60187-0527, http://www.rmsonline.org/ are greatly appreciated.


Most of the services will be conducted in Romanian.
