Barbara Swanson, age 74, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois. She was born December 7, 1943 in Oak Park, IL.

Barb loved her family. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and led her family to the Lord. She raised five children and helped with 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She loved both Spotlight and Wheaton Christian Grammar plays and also attending all of her grandchildren's activities. She loved going to Disney World.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gene; her five children, Greg (Carol) of West Chicago, IL, Sandi Sikorski of West Chicago, IL, Dave of Aurora, IL, Mike (Nancy) of Winfield, IL, Kari (Cory) Orphan of Wheaton, IL and Mike Sikorski; 26 grandchildren, Kelly (Jon), Carlton, Carter, Bennett, Brady, Ryan (Allison), Kyle (Cathy), Lanie (Colin), Lexis (Max), Zachary, Katelyn, Emily, Kelsey, Benjamin, Harrison, Jackson, Matt, Ally, Nate, Hannah, Austin, Rylie (fiance Rich), Kylie, Andie, Collin and Kalvin; six great-grandchildren, Bella, Hudson, Esther, Isaiah, Emma and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church , 27W010 Parkway Dr., in Winfield, IL. Interment will follow at Naperville Cemetery in Naperville, IL.
