Barbara Rogers, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2021 in Andover, Kansas. Barbara was born on December 5, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. The oldest of 13 children (8 sisters and 4 brothers), she was raised on the South Side of Chicago and attended Chicago Teachers College (now Chicago State University). After completing college, she chose a career as a high school mathematics teacher, a career she enjoyed for many years. In addition to devoting herself to her teaching career, she also devoted herself to raising her two daughters, Carla and Caryn. She enjoyed sewing and creating needlepoint artwork, often presenting them as gifts for family and friends.

Barbara brightened the lives of many who knew her, with her sense of humor, insightful words and her loving disposition. She was smart, kind, considerate and peace loving. She will be deeply missed and forever loved and cherished.

She is survived by her daughters Carla Redmond (Michael, Sr.) and Caryn Bryant (David); her grandchildren Heidi, Haley, Michael, Jr., Dillon and Drew; her siblings Yvonne Higgins, Virgil Robinson, Jr., Audrey Johnson (James), Rosalie Robinson, Ramona Saunders (Eddie), Robin Robinson, Ronald Robinson (Lisa) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
