Barbara F. Garrow, age 79, a resident of Wheaton for 54 years, died Friday, November 9, 2007 at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. She was born October 4, 1928 in Chicago, IL.
Barbara graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, and graduated in 1946. She earned membership in the National Honor Society; and attended Lawrence University, in Appleton, WI. She married John P. "Jack" Garrow, Jr. and settled in Wheaton where they raised their family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Wheaton where she served as a member of numerous guilds. She loved her summer home on Lake Michigan where she vacationed and enjoyed the beauty of God's creation for 60 years.
She is survived by four children, Scott P. (Angela) Garrow of Lombard, John F. (Kim) Garrow of Wheaton, Susan E. (Mitch) VandenBos of Winfield, and Paul C. (Patty) Garrow of Riverview, FL; ten grandchildren, Caleb and Stephanie, Jack, Jenna, and Jessa, Brian, Jason, and Natalie, and Russell and Barbara; and her loving sister, Nancy C. Ford of Elmhurst.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John P. "Jack" Garrow, Jr.; and her infant daughter, Kathleen Ann Garrow.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16, at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N. West Street, in Wheaton. Interment is private at the Columbarium at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wheaton.
